'my grand pursuit' book box story

Some questions refuse to leave us alone.
What is the soul?
What is love?
What is consciousness?
What does it mean that we are here at all?!?!?!?!
'my grand pursuit' is named for that lifelong ache to understand. Not just spiritually, but scientifically. Not just emotionally, but structurally. The desire to trace love through neurons. To map awe through biology. To sit at the edge of physics and still dare to hope for something more.
On the right, the pages are carved into the shape of a heart. Surrounding it are fragments of inquiry... scientific instruments, astrological symbols.. watchful eyes... crystals. even a small nod to snails and their simple nervous systems. Their few thousand neurons compared to our billions... think about it for a sec.. A snail experiences the world with a brain the size of a grain of sand. We experience it with extraordinary complexity... & yet both of us move through the same gravity. The same sunlight. The same chemical elements forged in ancient stars.
Time stretches differently depending on who is measuring it. An hour to us may be an entire lifespan to another organism. A tree can outlive generations. A fly may know only a single day. Perspective is not fixed. It is relative to the body carrying it.
Even at the quantum level, particles once linked can remain correlated across distance. What physicists call entanglement suggests that separation is not always as clean as it appears. That what interacts once may continue influencing one another beyond what we can see.
this book box is dedicated to my ongoing search. the willingness to stand between microscopes and metaphysics and admit that both are reaching for the same thing. understanding.... connection... meaning.
It is the decision to love across scale. To recognize that complexity does not grant superiority. That every nervous system, no matter how small, is a vantage point into existence.
